“John arrived promptly on Monday and had completed the new fence enclosing my garden by Thursday. It was a challenge as the ground was very hard and dry as it is under 3 large trees but John installed the fence avoiding any large roots. The fence is high quality and looks exactly as I wanted it to. He took the old fence away, as well as bush cuttings he had made, clearing up any mess. I am delighted with his work and would strongly recommend Aldwick Fencing to anyone needing new fencing.”

“Mr Hackett and his team installed gravel boards, concrete posts and 15 fence panels having previously visited the Site, assessed works required and forwarded a written quotation which was accepted. Work was conducted on the days advised in a timely, efficient, friendly and professional manner, at the quoted price. All old panels were removed from Site and the Site was left in a very tidy state. The quality of the fence panels and general installation workmanship was excellent and will no doubt last for many years. We are extremely happy and have no hesitation in recommending this Company to potential Customers. Thank you Aldwick fencing.”

On each occasion our enquiry has been efficiently dealt with from initial visit to assess works required, right thru to timely and tidy works completion, at the quoted cost. On this occasion placement of 9 fence panels etc and 2 gates. The quality of the work has always been excellent. If all Tradespeople operated to the high standards of Aldwick fencing then certain aspects of life would certainly be much easier. Happy to recommend without reservation.”

“We chose Aldwick Fencing based on the amount of positive reviews from other happy customers. He was able to visit to provide a quote fairly quickly, despite being busy due to the recent storms. He was honest in his appraisal and gave a couple of options for the work required. His quote was for the entire job, not an estimate, which was great because we knew there would be no hidden costs or added extras. He was able to book ud in before Christmas and wanted nothing up front either. On the day, he arrived before 9am, and worked solidly with his assistant, until nearly 4pm, taking just a short break for lunch. The end result is fantastic, with the new fence giving us peace of mind that it will certainly stand up to any further stormy weather. Well worth every penny!”

“What an outstanding job! John and Seb took down a very old and rickety chain link fence and replaced with bow top fencing. The quality of the new fencing is excellent, and the workmanship was second to none! The weather was AWFUL, but not once did they complain - they just got on with it happily. “We’ve used John Hackett, owner at Aldwick Fencing 3 times now. Firstly for a small job to creat a small fenced area and gate to prevent our puppy getting in the lawn when unattended; A brilliant job ! Seconding to use the same style to create a much larger fenced area to the front of our property and a pair of 5 bar electric gates; wow!! Everyone commented at the fabulous addition which definitely added value to the house (much more than the job cost I might add!) Recently at our new house we needed the rear wall height raised so John created yet another bespoke job. We are blown away by his ability to come up with great ideas or to interpret mine just as I visualise them (and I’m VERY fussy!) He has incredible great skill as a carpenter/joiner/fencer, he’s not just a fencer that puts up something bought off the peg; he creates your vision for you and makes it a reality He is that rare breed of tradesman that is also reliable , and has integrity & honesty ! Highly recommend”

“My mum has Parkinson’s and is very nervous about having workers in her property. I explained this to John who had previously completed work for us ( also to an excellent standard) and he arranged to meet me at the property for the quote and also at the start and finish of the job . The weather was horrendous but John worked hard and with as little mess as possible. He is a genuine and hardworking individual and I could’ve recommend him more highly .”
“This was to refurbish a 5 bar gate. Although I thought the gate would need to be replaced, John suggested the existing one could be refurbished as it was of good quality hardwood. Great care was taken in removing the old gate which was rusted in and the gate was taken away and returned fully restored.”
